The Guy Hudson Memorial Trust
The Guy Hudson Memorial Trust was established in 1997, funded by a bequest from the estate of the late Lt R G O Hudson DSC RNVR. It exists to support, directly or indirectly, the education of Royal Navy and Royal Marines officers in Oxford. This is the first conference in some years to be supported by the trust.Organising Committee

Biography
After four and a half years in the United States Marine Corps, Jeremiah received a BA (summa cum laude) in History from Appalachian State University, in North Carolina, followed by a MA (with Distinction) in Naval History from the University of Exeter. Currently, his studies are funded by the US Department of Veterans Affairs while reading for a DPhil at the University of Oxford.

Biography
Gabriela is currently a Greendale Scholar at Merton College, reading for a DPhil in history at the University of Oxford. She earned a MPhil degree in history, a MA degree in constitutional law and history, and a BA degree in English literature from the University of Berne (Switzerland). After the completion of her studies she worked there as a teaching and research assistant. In 2009, she was a fellow of the summer seminar in military history at the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.

Biography
Hiraku received a BA and an MA both in History from the University of Tokyo, Japan. Previously, he was selected for a research fellowship at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science 2006-8, and studied at the King's College London as an affiliated researcher 2007-8. His current research is funded by the Long-Term Student Support Program, Ministry of Education, Japan.
